No real plans here

I thought for a long time before opening this blogger account, would I use it, would I embarrass myself. I have done several websites, my first was a mix of personal, and for Oklahoma Earthbike Fellowship which now has a wonderful site done by Marcel Slootheer. It pleases me to see some tiny pieces that Joseph Mills and myself created in 1998 or 1999 still sneak in here and there.

Oh well I need to go do my walk.........

One Day Vacation

Saturday we took a one day vacation. Went to Gloss Mt. stopped at the Sod House Museum, and then on to the Salt Flats. I took lots of photos. Maybe some day I will up grade this account and post some of them. 25MB would be easy to fill up, for the price of the plus 100 account I could do what I'll call a real web site with email addie and the lot.

Any how the time away from my normal routine, did a bit to cheer me up.

Just tired

Just tired, Grandmother is in the hospital again, I have been driving to see her almost every day for the last three weeks, we are both getting just so tired.
She is 95 and had a good life, she has not said so, but I think she is ready to go home, she is tired of being sick, tired of being in pain, she misses "papa" she misses my Mom, and since her Daughter-in-law Pat died this spring Grandma seems to have given up. I am getting tired of trying to cheer her up, I am tired of driving back and forth. Just tired so tired.

Power Book Lust

Do I regret getting a new truck and not the new power book? Yes but......
Having dependable transportation is so nice. Went to see Grandmother at the Hospital it was a 170 mile round trip the new truck made the drive easer.

Did not take long

Well it did not take long to spend almost two years of back pay.

I started out lusting after a new Apple Power book with all the trimmings, after thinking about that I though maybe a car should be at the top of my list while I have money in a big pile (big for a poor boy like me). So I lusted after a Mazda Miata after many pleasant thoughts about how much I would enjoy turing in a Miata the numbers started to sink in; if I financed part of the 26k, the Miata, that I wanted would cost; payments and insurance would eat enough of my income; there would be no money left over to do any traveling. Getting the wife to pack light enough would be tuff, and camping would be all but out, do to lack of cargo space. Doing without is not fun when you are on the road. Doing without and having to stay home when I am still healthy enough to travel and do some things would really suck.

So re-thinking the car deal, coast to coast road trips (with camping) are going to take more room than the Miata offered, then the killer $170 a month insurance just did not make since. It dawned on me that I could trade off the Mitsubishi, that I planed to keep and get another truck, save big time on insurance and save some on the purchase price.
After looking at all the pick up trucks, the Nissan looked like the best deal for me. I have a lot of good experience with the engine that comes in the Frontier from working on fork lifts that come with that engine; several service and delivery trucks also with that engine and transmission combination; I know that the Nissan is going to run trouble free for mega miles.

Money for a Day

Finally received my SSD deposit for two years of back payments! It feels good real good to have money of my own for a change.

To bad it will not last long I'll be a the Nissan dealer in a few hours for the new truck I ordered. The Mitsubishi pick-up I am trading in will be missed, Adam (my oldest son); who sold me the truck when he moved to England; and I loved that little truck. 112000 miles and it stile runs great has started and stopped every-time I have asked it to, but its is time for me to have some thing new.

Line One

Here it is "line one" of a new journal of a new blog another voice joins the noise on the web. This is not my first shout out of the digital window, just a new format and place.
